Summary of 'fines' and quarterage

Admission to the Company as a Freeman incurs a one-off ‘Fine’ (joining fee), the amount depends upon age. Student members pay a single joining fine of £25 and are then exempt from ongoing memberships fees

Ongoing membership fees (Quarterage), is an annual subscription and is normally paid monthly by Direct Debit with a bank or building society and is separate to the single one off ‘Fine’.

The rates are decided by the Court of the Company (the body responsible for deciding Company policy).
