RIBA Fellow Membership gives the RIBA the opportunity to recognise inspirational Chartered Members, the sometimes unsung heroes of the profession, who have made a real contribution to architecture, and the community.

Richard’s citation reads:

Richard Saxon CBE FRIBA. Richard was awarded his CBE for services to architecture and construction in 2001 following his work in the wake of the Latham Review to embed the recommended reforms. He was an active participant in the Government BIM Steering Group from 2012 -2013 when he was UK BIM Ambassador for Growth and he wrote a book which informs clients and their advisers of the role that clients need to play in BIM in order to get the most from it. Further to this he served four RIBA Presidents as the RIBA Vice president and was the Chairman of the RIBA Practice Committee during which tenure the concept of the RIBA Chartered Practice was introduced.
